Title: 0.10.1 Wallets
Post by: EndCiv on June 01, 2018, 06:06:46 PM
Why did they stop building again?

Was it cos updated server libs / versions.. ?
How come shit isn't backwards compatable..
How come shit doesn't just use the latest libz?

What version will the new wallets be?

I'll x-post my bitcointalk post here, since I'm unsure if anyone is monitoring it:

I've been away myself, but got to talking with IMZ about dobbscoin last night and got all nostalgic for it. He was having issues getting client to sync, so I decided to attempt a build on linux. I understand a revival of sorts may be going on, and there may be significant changes to the wallet but I managed a build with a few minor tweaks to the github repo: https://github.com/Shinoa-Fores/dobbscoin-source

I am using: gcc version 7.3.0 (Gentoo Hardened 7.3.0 p1.0) with linux 4.15.4 kernel build. It all synced up fine, though I noticed only 1-2 peers. I will attempt to get a permanent node up to help the network this coming week.

As I am also a big fan of paper wallets, I have put up a temporary generator at http://btcinfo.sdf.org/DLX/genwallet/?currency=dobbscoin# ... will also put the changes on github. The background is generic and doesn't have the groovy feel of the old version, so if anyone can improve please advise.
