What ever happened to auto-checkpointing

This was a "thing" for a certain altcoin sect.  You have to run something akin to a masternode to do all the checkpointing.

Have to think about code maintenance in all the things that get integrated in.  And when you do add things, donʻt just slop it up.  Which is the norm.

My thinking is to keep it lite and make it as easy to track and keep current with Bitcoin as possible.
